Call for submissions: Glasgow Print Studio Members' Exhibition

anCnoc Single Malt Scotch Whisky is distilled at the Knockdhu Distillery in the picturesque distillery of Knock in Aberdeenshire. Known as the 'malt of the arts' anCnoc has been involved with arts sponsorships across Scotland and this year is working with the Glasgow Print Studio in creating an exciting competition for its members.
Artist Brief:
A contemporary perspective on landscape art exploring the Scottish Highlands, where anCnoc Single Malt is produced, we are inviting submissions for a landscape focused artist competition.
We request 2 print based landscape works for submission.
There will be an exhibition of work in the ground floor Glasgow Print Studio Gallery, with the winner selected by two guest judges. As well as getting their work on show the winner will win a trip to the anCnoc distillery, to gain further inspiration from the surrounding landscape and a £500 cash prize, as well as a potential media profile in the List Magazine.
Guidelines:
Up to 2 works may be submitted
There is no size restriction
Work can be an editioned original print or a unique work that incorporates print
All work must be framed in good quality frames
Work will be hung at the discretion of the gallery
Dates:
Receiving work: Thursday 25th and Friday 26th August
Collection of un-hung work: Tues 30th and Wed 31st August
Private View: Thursday 1st September 2011
Exhibition Runs: Friday 2nd September - Sunday 2nd October 2011
Collection of unsold work: Tuesday 4th October and Wednesday 5th October 2011
Work should be submitted to the ground floor gallery
