Comic Art: Millarworld and Beyond

We are thrilled to announce that Glasgow Print Studio will this year be participating in the 5th Glasgow Comic Con. From July 3rd - August 30th an exhibition of work by some of the most important and influential comic book talent in the industry will be on show in GPS's main gallery.

'Comic Art: Millarworld and Beyond', showcases work from some of the world’s foremost comic book artists and writers including Mark Millar (KickAss, Wanted, Jupiter’s Legacy, Kingsman: Secret Service), Frank Quitely (Batman and Robin, New X-Men, We3, Jupiter’s Legacy) Goran Pavlov (5 Ronin, Starlight, Black Widow) and Dave Gibbons (Watchmen, Dan Dare, Judge Dredd).

The exhibition features original prints (photo etchings, digital prints and screenprints) by Quitely alongside digital prints taken from the 'Millarworld' series, collaborative works written by Mark Millar and realised by a number of international visual artists who have interpreted his fantasy world. The exhibition pays particular focus to the artwork from Jupiter’s Legacy, a recent collaboration between Quitely and Millar which is soon to be transformed onto the big screen.

The exhibition is scheduled to coincide with the 5th Glasgow Comic Con to be held at various venues from the 4th to the 5th of July.
